LG announced on November 30, 2010 that the company plans to end the operation of its business-solutions division in 2011 and trim the number of its divisions to four, as part of the effort to restructure its management due in 2011, according to the Korea Times. With the elimination of the business-solutions division, LG is expected to focus more on individual products rather than cultural transformation. It is reported that LG aims to achieve faster execution and business efficiencies under the reshuffle. The four remaining LG divisions are home appliance, air-conditioning & energy solution, home entertainment, and mobile communication.
